So. Silksong made me very upset and then I got sucked into Dispatch. Soooooo I made some Dispatch merch instead of Silksong merch (My sister’s made a few Hollow Knight pins and stickers however!) – But I might try getting back into Silksong again soon! I’m most likely going to just use the easy mode mod cause I’m a lil squishy baby and not huge on high precision technical skill platformers. I think if the difficult curve was similar to Hollow Knight it would be a different story, but Silksong is built like KH 2 proud mode, but instead of continuing from the end of KH1 to KH2 on proud mode right after, you’re playing Chain of Memories on proud mode right after. You get me?

Anyways, aside from my Big Gamer Opinion, I’ve gotten a couple commissions! That’s a few more than last year and I’m pretty hype about it :D. I got a VGen account recently (and on the new RPGMAKER forums run by CasperGaming. Casper seems to have a really good handle on running forums, so I hope everything goes well there.) and while creating forms I had some epiphanies about how long certain things take and I’m in the middle of updating my prices. I’ll most likely make some more Dispatch pieces over the next few months, and by god the TADC finale hit me like a sack of bricks so I hope I can make some things for that too. I said it on my bsky and I’ll say it again here: Thank you, Gooseworx. From just great writing and art to lines and scenes that were almost word-for-word things I said to myself at my lowest, to reflections of love and humanity, TADC means a lot to me, and it renewed my desire to create.

Man. A lot of stuff can happen in several months.

I know it probably seems sill that I only make merch of things I really like, but I’ve found the art just does not come to me for things I’m not currently invested in. For commissions, this isn’t as much of a problem for me; someone telling me what they want can trigger whichever executive function I use to draw but for fanworks I’m doing on my own? I need to feel something for it- BUT feel free to make suggestions, or even just chat with me about art over on my socials. ;;^^ That’s where I am currently, I hope everyone has a good rest of the year.
